“We can usually learn much more from people whose views we share than from people whose views contradict our own; disagreement can cause stress and inhibit learning.”
    The arguer seems to suggest that we can learn much more from people who share our ideas than from those who have opposite views. Although many people may embrace this opinion wholeheartedly, I have my reservations. As far as I’m concerned, we can benefit more from contradicting views.

    Contradicting views help us see the flaws of our own point of view, enabling us to improve our understanding. We human beings are progressing during the contradicting. Nothing turns up to be perfect at the first place, however, things can be improved after learning from the millions of counterviews.

    Take the Chinese movie as an example, since the world well-known Chinese director Li An won the foreign language film by the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the Chinese directors were making every effort to enter the world movie market and attain the admiration of Academy through the last decade. But unfortunately, they made a mistake that they lost their own characteristics and blindly overused the high tech. As a consequence, there appeared loads of the so-called blockbusters which are mostly criticize by both the professionals and the audiences such as the Hero by Zhangyimo and the Promise by Chenkaige. Though these movies may have a good-looking box office earings, their reputation is not so good. Chinese moviegoers seemed to be totally disappointed and did not expect any gorgeous movies then. But as the old saying goes, “Never too old to learn, never too late to turn”, the Chinese directors learn from the critics and reproaches. They paid more attention on the scenario and strive harder to tell a story well rather than make the scenes more romantic. This does bring a success. People regained the confidence of Chinese movies and can not wait to go to the cinema to enjoy the movies which can not only entertain them but also educate the audiences. The representational films such as If You Are the One by Fengxiaogang, The Equation of Love and Death by Caobaoping, and even the animation Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf win a good reputation and bring light to the fact that the Chinese movie market is reviving. This can cast a light on that what we really need is not the compliment, but the sincere suggestions. Though faithful words offend the ears, good medicine tastes bitter, we can acquire more from the critics. (建议：英语作文)
