On Opportunities
Some people believe that opportunities only knock at the door of the luckiest
few regardless of their ability,educational background or what kind of persons they are.Therefore,instead of looking for chances,these people would rather wait passively for opportunities to come to them.?
Many others hold that opportunities can be obtained with active efforts. “No pains,no opportunities” is their motto.For this group of people,qualifying yourself through hardworking is the necessary precondition to gain an opportunity.So these people always remain diligent and seek for chances whenever and wherever possible.?
As far as I am concerned,I would prefer to stand on the side of the second group
of people,for I can tell from my own experiences that all my opportunities have been somewhat related to what I have done previously.

Sense of Humor
There is no denying that everybody enjoys staying and talking with humorous persons.These people,with their remarks full of wit and humor,often make us forget the boredom we might be experiencing.And more importantly,people with a strong sense of humor add a lot of impressive and happy moments to our life.?
According to my observation,humorous people seem to share many common qualities.In the first place,they tend to be optimistic and open?minded,seldom do we hear them complaining.Secondly,they are quick?minded,capable of finding swift association between what appears to be two entirely irrelevant incidents.In addition,they often display their wide range of knowledge through their remarks.?
People around me are often impressed by my sense of humor.I think I owe this valuable asset to my mother,whose witty remarks have accompanied me all the way in my life.

Environmental Protection?
In the modern society,we always hope that people living and working around as are well?bred,good?mannered and well?educated.But today we tend to become even more and more aware of our physical environment,simply because we have come to realize that we are no longer surrounded by desirable quiet and precious fresh clean air.So many people,before buying a house,they even weigh more of its physical environment than its location.?
This awareness of environmental pollution serves as a big inspiring step that leads to environmental protection.Many groups have been formed either to urge the government to lay down laws for our environment or to take specific actions against environmental pollution.?
Environmental protection does not simply mean making a few laws,it calls for the joint effort of the whole society,for which every citizen should take his/her responsibility.

Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, more?and?more?people want to study abroad. There are students from colleges and universities, from the middle schools, from the primary schools, and people from all walks of life. What difference does it make?between studying abroad and studying home ?
Though many students are crazy about going abroad to pursue their higher education, I think studying home is preferable. For one thing, you don’t have to take foreign language tests such as TOEFL and GRE . This can save you a tremendous amount of time, money and effort, allowing much of your energy to be devoted to your academic foals. In addition, if you study home ,you can stay with your family and old friends. Meanwhile , while studying home ,you can enjoy the kind of intimate friendship and comfortable family atmosphere which you can only dream of in a foreign university , where you will be accompanied by your own shadow most of the time. For these reasons, pursuing one’s higher education at home is a more realistic and sensible choice.
In a word, I prefer to study home.
