Is It Wise to Make Friends Online?Friends, in general understanding, can be described as one main factor that constitutes happiness in our life. Owing to the development of technology, ways to make friends are widened. Among them is a popular and convient way----making friends online. But this newly born method is still in dispute. As cheating and crime exist in the unreal Internet world, some people think it’s unwise to make friends online. But as I see, it is wise. The reasons are as follows:First, required by China’s reform and opening up, advancing with the world's development becomes a necessary task of our generation. Therefore, making friends online doubtlessly can be made use of, as an important and efficient way, to achieve that due to its own features. Through it, we can make friends with people who have different cultural backgroud and personal opinions, which will surely widens our eyes and makes us become more knowledgeable.
 Connecting with people especially from English-speaking countries through Internet can also improves our English level. Personally, I think it’s a pretty cool thing to have several foreign friends. And without making friends online, never will such things gonna happen in a so easy way.Furthermore, one distinction between the real world and Internet world is that people connect each other indirectly in the Internet world, consequently no one will know your appearance or identity(except using webcam). Embarrassment wouldn’t exist in chatting any more and you can, as you wish, vent your discontent, anger or something else, which you are unwilling to express to people around lest you should trouble them.
