The world is slowly becoming a high-tech society. New technologies like computers, robots have changed the way most of us live & work. While life turns easier in some way, technology has had terrible consequences for many people. In other words, people are suffering the changes brought by technology. For instance, millions of people are out of work today, and their unemployment is caused by machines that can do the work people used to do; In addition, managers who can not adjust to computers & telecommunication systems are losing jobs too. We may have more food, better houses, cheaper communications, but we may also lose our ability to use these things. Technology may be improving our lives, but it is also taking away our livelihoods!

If you sneeze on your computer or cell phone, tiny sensors embedded in the machine will be able to analyze thousands of molecules in your breath. The conflict between technological development and tranditional cultures Nowadays, conflicts between technological developments and tranditional cultures accelerate in a fierce way. More and more cries for saving the traditional cultures can be heard, while others urge a more rapid technological revolution in the new millenium. So, are technology and tradition so incompatible, or is there a balance point`in where we could reserve our ancestors’ legacy as well as keep on the hi-tech development?
