Different people have different views on the Spring Festival Gala. Some prefer the view that it suits most audience’s taste. Others tend to believe it should be cancelled. As to me, I agree to the first / second opinion.
    Of course, about four-hour-long programs will make some people feel a bit bored. For example, the forms of most programs which lack originality are familiar to the audience and cannot attract the audience. But in my opinion, there is no denying that many people still have a strong feeling for it. The following reasons can account for my argument.
    Firstly, it adds to fun and excitement and makes a happy festival atmosphere. A good example to illustrate is cross talks and other comic performances that always bring people a lot of laughter. In addition / Moreover / What’s more, the directors are trying hard to figure out the solution to the obvious changes of the audience’s tastes. To conclude, I think the Spring Festival Gala is still an indispensable part of the Chinese New Year’s Eve.
