　　Nowadays, environmental problems are too big to be managed by individual persons or individual countries. In other words, it is an international problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

　　If human beings want to benefit from harmony with Nature, environmental conservation is everyone's business. Now that the Earth is being harmed by human activity, joined efforts should be made in time to prevent the situation from becoming from bad to worse. Because environmental problems， such as increasing air and water pollution as well as excessive logging and hunting， do not stop at a nation's borders, effective solutions are expected to come not only from individual countries but also the international community.

　　Country-wise, environmental conservation should be put in the category of national security. Protecting a nation's natural resources at home is just as important as defense abroad. Otherwise, what is there to defend? Environment is of course the concern of both the government and the people alike. Being an agenda in public life, this concern is now firmly embedded in education, law, journalism, even literature and art. So it is horrifying that some people still have to fight their government to save the environment.

　　Many environmental problems go beyond borders. Such problems as global warming has become an international issue no less critical than overpopulation, refugees, narcotics, terrorism and organized crimes. The planet is losing its habitat of flora and fauna as if anything humans touch is polluted or doomed. Fortunately, however, there is a growing awareness world-wide to tackle some environmental disasters including climate change, and have more reverance for the natural world. It is no longer unimaginable now to think that all nations can operate, even thrive, in an environmentally-friendly manner. After all, a healthy natural environment across the earth can ensure good human health in general.

　　Consequently, it is the right thing to do to reposition environment on top of national and international priorities so that people everywhere can rightfully enjoy the joy of clean air and water along with the beauty of the biodiversity. Since they have only themselves to blame for environmental degradation, all individual persons should do more, actively getting involved in making the world a better living place. That is why conservation of natural environment is the only way to enhance harmony between mankind and Nature.
