My View on Luck

我对”运气“的看法

①一些人把成功归于运气

②另一些人把运气看作是勤奋的结果

③我的看法

Nowadays,it is generally believed among some people that success es from luck.They believe it in love,in examinations,and even in promotion.For instance,when some of them don't get good marks in entrance examinations or fail to be enrolled by a key university,they will attribute it to bad luck.

现如今，一些人普遍认为成功源于运气。他们相信爱情，相信考试，甚至升职都归咎于运气。例如，当其中一些人在入学考试中没有取得好成绩或未能被重点大学录取时，他们会把它归咎于运气不好。

However,others believe in themselves.They are working hard and trying their best to achieve what they want.Although they may fail sometimes,they don't give up,for they believe that one's fate lies in his own hand.As long as they work hard,they will succeed in the end.In their minds,diligence is the mother of good luck.

然而，另外一部分人更相信自己。他们努力工作，尽最大努力地为他们想要的东西而奋斗（实现他们的梦想）。虽然他们有时可能会失败，但他们不会放弃，因为他们相信一个人的命运掌握在自己手中。只要努力，最终一定会成功。在他们的潜意识里，勤奋才是成功（幸运）之母。

As to me,I am in favour of the latter opinion.Luck doesn't e alone.It goes hand in hand with hard work and knowledge.

至于我，我赞成后一种意见。运气并不是脱离了努力和学识而孤立存在的。

My View on Luck

运气之我见

I used to believe in luck, especially when I couldn't figure out my strength and position.

我曾经一度很相信运气，尤其是当我摸不清自己实力和定位的时候更是如此。

People spending precious time and energy for something far higher than one's own strength, and if these time and energy are put into other things, they will play a greater role at that time.

人们为了做一些远高于自己能力的事情而花费宝贵的时间和精力，而这些时间和精力如果放在另外一些事情上，会在当时发挥更大的作用。

One roommate thinks that luck is conserved. If you use too much before, you will run out of luck.

有个舍友认为，运气是”守恒“的，如果之前用了太多，那么到后面运气就会用完。

I have also found that those who have good luck always have good luck, and those who don't have it never have it.

我还曾经发现，拥有好运气的人一直都有好运气，而没有的人也一直没有。

For example, some people have won prizes all the time, but I haven't won them once.

比如：有的人一直中奖，而我一次都没有。

There is another saying, Hedong in 30 years and Hexi in 30 years. This sentence may apply to luck.

还有一句话说，三十年河东，三十年河西。这句话放在对运气的理解上也许适用。
