The Causes of the Environmental Problems

Nowadays the problems of our natural environment have become increasingly serious. At present there are many kinds of environment problems including environment pollution, desertification and the extinction of wild animals,and so on.Before we take any measures to prevent the pollution,maybe we work it out that what are the causes to these problems?

Firstly,the problems were caused by the natural disasters,such as the earthquake, flood, drought,typhoon, mud-rock flow and so on. From joozone.com.

Secondly,look over the materials I have found, I cannot ignore the fact that all of these problems are caused majorly by our human beings.Due to the technology revolution,modern society is growing rapidly and our power to change the world is strengthened. On the other side,the surge in population,our need for the energy ,water and arable land resources is daily increasing.Mankind begin to mine and exploit the resources on a large scale unplanned and unreasonably.A large quantity of the resource is abused and wasted, then energy shortage,deforestation and a series of problems come follow as a result.

For example,the water is wasted and polluted,that comes global shortage of fresh water; the air is polluted by the industrial waste gas ,that comes acid rain and ozone depletion; the atmosphere was changed by the rising density of the carbon dioxide released by human’s manufacturing production,that comes globe warming;the forests and the arable land are overexploited,that comes deforestation, desertification and the loss of living species.

All in all, human civilization is now the dominant cause of change in the global environment.We must first recognize our effect on the earth and then take feasible measures to prevent any environment crisis,can the problems be really settled.
